"O Holy Night"

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth

It's just a beautiful image. A starlit sky.
Knowing that the Creator God is the Father
of the baby who would one day become the
Savior. Did anyone back then lie under the
sky gazing up at the stars in awe-struck
wonder of the Creator and contemplate
the blessings of His Son's birth?

Matthew 2:1-2:

"Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea
in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east
arrived in Jerusalem, saying,

"Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?
For we saw His star in the east and have come to
worship Him."

Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Til he appeared and the soul felt it's worth.
A thrill of hope; the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees;

Matthew 2:11 - "Afer coming into the house they
saw the Child with Mary his mother; and they fell to
the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening
their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of
gold, frankincense, and myrrh."

O hear the angel voices
O night divine -- o night, when Christ was born

Luke 2:13-14 - "And suddenly there appeared with
the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God
and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, And on earth
peace among men with whom He is pleased."

....Fall on your knees....

Philippians 2:5-11 - "Have this attitude in yourselves
which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He
existed in the form of God, did not regard equality
with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself,
taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the
likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of
death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God
highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which
is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY
KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on
earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father."

Thank you God, for the greatest Christmas present of all.
